CSCAA Release

HAMILTON –
Colgate University's men's and women's swimming and diving programs were named Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), announced this week by the association.

Colgate's men's team compiled a 3.32 GPA for the spring semester. The women's program earned a 3.31. Both team GPAs ranked among the nation's best Division I programs in the country.  "We are extremely proud of the academic excellence that the team has accomplished in the classroom this year," said Head Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Coach Ed Pretre. "For both of our young teams to have an excellent GPA is an incredible start for where this program is headed."

The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) selected 731 teams from 441 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team for the spring 2022 semester. Teams were selected on the basis of their spring 2022 grade point averages and represented 17,845 student-athletes.

CSCAA Executive Director had this to say about Colgate, "Coach Pretre has built a program that is a mainstay in our scholar team rankings and this year is no different."

Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
