BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — The Colgate women's tennis team and new Head Coach Damien Prohaska kicked off their fall season last weekend, highlighted by senior captain Amelia Galin and junior Sophia Montero going undefeated in doubles action to take home the Carousel Classic doubles title. The duo tore through their opposition at line one, clinching their undefeated record with a 6-2 triumph over Niagara on Saturday. First-year Caroline Brown also picked up her first two career singles wins as a Raider.

"It was a great weekend of competition and a solid start to the fall," said Prohaska. "Everyone had the opportunity to get meaningful reps in, identify areas for improvement, and we got some great wins along the way. I was especially impressed with how we collectively maintained a great presence and energy level through the entire weekend. A huge thanks to Nick, Paul and Tennis Charities of Binghamton for their hospitality and putting on a fantastic event!"

Other highlights from the weekend included first-year Anson Silverfield earning her first victory for Colgate, teaming up with sophomore Anya Kunar to defeat Le Moyne 7-5 in doubles. Sophomore Rebecca Hess picked up where she left off last year, defeating Le Moyne 6-2, 6-1. Junior Avery Isaac earned a solid 6-1, 6-4 win over the Dolphins at line six.
