Morrow and Serdachny Selected as CCM/AHCA All-Americans
DURHAM, N.H. – Sydney Morrow and Danielle Serdachny of Colgate women's hockey were honored with spots on the CCM Hockey and American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) second-team All-American squad, announced Saturday at the Whittemore Center Arena, site of the 2024 Frozen Four.
Morrow makes her first appearance on the CCM/AHCA All-American list after finishing the season in a tie for most points scored by a defender across the entirety of NCAA Division I. She notched her first career hat trick in a five-point performance against Dartmouth on Nov. 10, one of five games with three or more points for the Ohio State transfer.
Her stellar first season in maroon and white paid off with a selection to the All-ECAC Second Team in addition to three ECAC Defender of the Week honors and a nod as Defender of the Month in December.
Serdachny has now been honored three times as an CCM/AHCA All-American after earning First Team spots the last two seasons. In 2020-21, Serdachny became the first Colgate All-American in the Division I era.
One of the most decorated student-athletes in Colgate women's hockey history, Serdachny ends her career holding the top two slots for most points scored in a season by a Raider skater. Last season, she set the program record with 71 and nearly broke her record with 61 this year.
Her 239 career points are 54 tallies ahead of second place in the career scoring category, and she also owns the highest assists per game average in school history with .88 apples per outing.
Serdachny was selected as an All-American in 2023-24 after finishing the season fifth in the country with 61 points. She was also named as a top-10 finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Award, becoming the first student-athlete in Colgate history to be recognized as a finalist twice.
