HAMILTON – The men's tennis team sported a winning record at their first ever home fall invite, finishing with an overall mark of 23-16 in both singles and doubles action. Sophomore Jerome Falcon continued his undefeated fall by going 5-0 on the weekend, with his most notable win coming against Niagara at line three singles, with a score of 2-6, 6-4, 10-3.

"What a gorgeous weekend with a ton of competitive play and extra clean logistics for our first men's invite," head coach Bobby Pennington said. "Siena, Niagara, and Hamilton proved to be tough competitors and we played a ton of matches in two days. I thought we played phenomenal doubles going 10-2 over the course of the weekend. For the second straight weekend Jerome Falcon went unbeaten in singles. Overall, we need to get stronger, fitter, and more mentally tough in singles as we lost matches we had no business losing. Next up we have the big-time ITAs at Harvard."

Over the course of the weekend, the men played a series of singles and doubles matches against Siena, Niagara, and Hamilton. Highlights for the senior captains included Josh Israel winning 6-1, 6-0 at line two singles against Siena, and the pairing of Mikey Weitz and Ben Graham going 3-0 in doubles action. Israel and Benito Vlassis teamed up to defeat Niagara 6-3 to cap off a very strong showing from the seniors.

Highlights for the juniors included Aidan Chung defeating Niagara 7-6 (7-1), 6-2 at line four singles, and Aidan Lee taking down Siena 7-6 (7-0), 6-4 at line three singles. The sophomore duo of Falcon and Parker Mcgowan teamed for a very strong weekend, going 2-0 in their matches against Hamilton teams.

The first-years contributed positive results on the doubles courts as well, with Lochlan Seth teaming up with Lee to win both their doubles matches against Siena and Hamilton. Chung and first-year Tim Viding also won at line two doubles against Niagara with a score of 7-5.
