Three Raiders Named All-America Scholars
HAMILTON – Three members of the Colgate golf team were named All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Thursday. This year's Raider honorees on the prestigious list included Justin Fedele, Robbie Herzig, and Kevin Hollomon. To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically, must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade point average of 3.2.
Fedele, a rising senior, is an economics major from Montreal, Quebec. He was one of five Raiders selected to the scoring contingent for the Patriot League championship. With three top 10 finishes, Fedele posted a 75.75 scoring average in tournaments in 2023-24.
Herzig placed fifth at the Patriot League championship, garnering All-League honors for the second consecutive season. An economics and Chinese double-major from New York City, the rising senior registered a 73.29 scoring average in 2023-24 tournaments.
Hollomon, a physics major from Seattle, Wash., led the team with a 72.81 scoring average in 2023-24 tournaments featuring a trio of top-three finishes along with a 13th place finish at the Patriot League championship. He competed in 11 tournaments and 27 rounds.
Fedele, Herzig, and Hollomon are all repeat honorees after being named All-America Scholars in 2022-23. Connor Scannell (2020, 2021) is the only other Colgate golfer to earn the award twice, while Akhil Giri, Alex Morrison, and Ryan Allison have each garnered All-America Scholar honors once.

The Colgate Golf team was also a 2023-24 recipient of the Association's Outstanding Team Academic Award. The Raiders were one of 60 Division I programs, including only two Patriot League institutions, to earn Presidents Special Recognition for securing a team GPA of 3.5 or higher.
