Golembiewski Selected to Preseason All-Patriot Team
HAMILTON - Taylor Golembiewski was named to the Preseason All-Patriot League Team, the league announced on Wednesday. This is the second consecutive year the senior guard has been selected for preseason honors coming off the back of an All-Patriot League Second Team selection in the 2023-24 season.
Golembiewski became the 23rd player in Colgate women's basketball history to eclipse the 1,000 point mark last season. The Columbia, Conn. native hit double figures in 21 games and led the team in scoring in 14 out of the 34 games last season. The senior averaged 12.2 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 1.8 APG, and 1.2 SPG last season for Colgate.
The Raiders were also selected to finish second in the 2024-25 Patriot League Women's Basketball Preseason Poll earning 120 points including five first-place votes. Colgate's second place preseason spot is its highest since the 2004-05 season where the Raiders were also selected to finish second.
