HAMILTON – Colgate University Volleyball Head Coach Ryan Baker has announced the Class of 2028, featuring five newcomers set to join the three-defending Patriot League champions in 2024.

HAMILTON – Colgate University Volleyball Head Coach Ryan Baker has announced the Class of 2028, featuring five newcomers set to join the three-time defending Patriot League champions in 2024.

The five incoming first-years include two middle blockers, a libero, right-side hitter, and an outside hitter. They hail from four different states, including California, Kansas, New York, and Washington.

The incoming class is set to join a squad with 17 returning letterwinners from last year's team that finished 22-8 overall and 13-3 in Patriot League play en route to its third straight NCAA tournament appearance.

"We are thrilled to be adding these five student-athletes to our program," head coach Ryan Baker said. "Each of them is driven in the classroom and on the court. During the recruiting process, it was clear to our staff that they were committed to our values and what our program is all about.

"We wanted to bring in a class of student-athletes that would compliment our championship foundation, but also continued to raise the bar. We believe this class will do that. We believe they will fit very well into what we are doing athletically, academically, and in the community."
