Five Raiders Land on All-League Teams
BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Junior catcher Quinn Livesay was voted as a first-team All-Patriot League catcher highlighting a list of five total Raiders named to All-League squads in 2024. Jillian Herbst (second base), Rachel Carney (shortstop), Adrienne Nardone (designated player), and Kiley Shelton (outfield) were all placed on the All-Patriot League second-team.
Livesay lands on an All-League team for the first time in her career after leading the Patriot League in runners caught stealing for the third straight season. She threw out 14 baserunners in 2024, a mark that also ranks 15th in all of NCAA Softball. At the plate, the junior was top 10 in the conference with a .421 on-base percentage and a .929 OPS, lifting a career-best four home runs on the year.
Herbst, a 2022 first-team All-Patriot selection, ranked 11th in the conference with 49 hits this season, the most since her 2022 campaign when she hauled in Rookie of the Year honors. However, she did most of her damage in the field where the standout second baseman ranked second in the league with 112 assists with a .970 fielding percentage.
The only Patriot League fielder with more assists was Carney, who led the conference with 121 and a .941 fielding percentage. The Raiders' leadoff hitter also broke the program record for most stolen bases in a season (30), was sixth in the Patriot League with 34 runs scored, and earned the second-most walks in the conference (29).
Cleanup batter Nardone ended her career as a Raider by logging career highs in hits (48), RBIs (38), and doubles (10). Nardone's 36 RBIs placed her in a tie for seventh-most in the league, and her five homers ranked sixth-most among Patriot League hitters.
Finally, 2024 Patriot League Rookie of the Year Kiley Shelton earned a second-team All-Conference bid after leading the league with eight home runs. The first-year phenom led Colgate in nearly every major hitting statistic, ranking fifth in the league for total runs scored (37), third in RBIs (38), and ninth in hits (51).
The five All-Patriot League selections are the most for a Colgate squad since 2011 when six Raiders earned spots on the first and second teams combined. It is also the most honorees named to All-League squads in Head Coach Marissa Lamison-Myers' six-year tenure in Hamilton.
