HAMILTON – Coming off a successful season for Colgate swimming and diving, head coach Ed Pretre has announced the addition of its incoming first-years for the 2025-26 season.

Pretre praised the newest recruits for their exceptional talent, strong character, and commitment to excellence both in and out of the pool.

"Once again, our coaching staff has done an outstanding job recruiting exceptional student-athletes to Colgate who embody our program's core values of integrity, strong character, and relentless work ethic. This incoming class will undoubtedly strengthen both our men's and women's programs across key event areas and elevate the overall competitiveness of our team.

"This group has the potential to fill key event gaps, raise the competitive standard in training, and contribute to the continued growth of Colgate Swimming & Diving at the Patriot League level," Pretre added.

For the women's team, the class brings well-rounded depth, particularly in the Individual Medley, Breaststroke, and Mid-Distance Freestyle events. These additions are expected to make an immediate impact, bolstering the team's versatility and competitiveness at both dual meets and championship-level meets.

On the men's side, the program welcomes four talented divers, providing a much-needed boost in dual meet scoring and postseason potential. In addition, four dynamic swimmers join the ranks, bringing crucial depth in the Freestyle events along with added strength in the Breaststroke and Butterfly.

The Colgate coaching staff looks forward to integrating this promising class into the team culture and building on the program's momentum heading into the upcoming season.
