Six Raiders Named First Team All-Patriot League
BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Six Colgate student-athletes were named to the All-Patriot League First Team, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon. The six standout selections are tied for the most first-team honorees in the Patriot League this year, including Treyvhon Saunders, Bardhyl Gashi, Cole Kozlowski, Andrew Taddeo, Shelby Pruett and Luke Vogeler.
On offense, wide receiver Treyvhon Saunders ended his junior year second in the FCS and fifth in all of college football with 88 receptions. He set two program records, most catches in a campaign and most receptions per game (7.3), and also added 831 receiving yards, the second-most in the Patriot League.
Fifth-year offensive lineman Bardhyl Gashi earned his third-straight All-League bid after claiming Second Team honors last season. Gashi, the anchor to an offensive line that placed second in the Patriot League with 4.6 yards per carry this year, started all 12 games for the Raiders in 2024 and started 34 out of his 39 career contests.
Defensively, junior linebacker Cole Kozlowski finished his breakout season first in the Patriot League, second FCS, and fourth in the entire country (FBS or FCS) with 133 total tackles. The two-time Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week contributed eight games with 11 or more tackles, and ended the year with the most stops by a Raider since Mike Gallihugh '08 made 140 tackles in 2006.
Senior defensive lineman Andrew Taddeo was also named to the First Team defense after tying for the fifth-most sacks in the Patriot League this season. He also averaged .5 sacks per game, the fifth-best mark in the league. His 5.5 sacks and 7.5 TFLs are both career-highs for the senior, in addition to his personal-best 34 tackles on the season.
Senior Shelby Pruett was named First Team punter after booming a career-best 42.8 yards per punt in 2024, the best mark in the Patriot League and 25th-best in the FCS. He also rattled off the longest punt in the conference this season, a 66-yarder against Akron, and has now made three-consecutive appearances on All-League teams.
Elsewhere on special teams, sophomore kicker Luke Vogeler earned a First Team nod making 13 out of 15 field goal attempts on the season, tied for the most in the league with the best field goal percentage. He also broke the Colgate record for most 40+ yard field goals in a season going a perfect 4-4 from 40-49 yards, and he smashed the program record for most 50+ yard kicks in a single year and in a career drilling both of his attempts in 2024.
