Herzig, McCabe Pace Raiders at Patriot Golf
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Robbie Herzig and Dugan McCabe both sit in the top 10 after Friday's first round of the Patriot League Championship at Saucon Valley Country Club.
"Packed leaderboard," said head coach JP Kircher. "Robbie and Dugan played the last stretch of holes a combined five under to help us claw back a bit. We're going to have a great chance to set the pace in the morning and get in the mix for Sunday."
Herzig used an eagle on No. 15 to shoot 3-under on the back nine. He finished his day with an even-par 72 and is tied for third just two shots off the lead. McCabe was among the leaders all day and finished the round in a tie for seventh with a 1-over 73.
Kevin Hollomon is tied for 34th after turning in a 6-over 78. Justin Fedele (+7), Leo Li (+8), and Michael Hanratty (+9) are all separated by one stroke in ties for 40th, 43rd, and 47th, respectively.
Colgate as a team shot 302 (+14) to land in seventh place, one shot ahead of Bucknell and 11 strokes behind Army, which holds the lead with a 3-over 291 team score.
