Chorske Named Forward of the Week
CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — ECAC Hockey released its weekly awards on Monday, with Brett Chorske earning Forward of the Week, presented by Bluebird Hotels.
Chorske found the back of the net in Colgate's two victories last weekend, helping the Raiders defeat Princeton 2-1 and No. 18 Quinnipiac 3-2.
The senior put the Raiders ahead 1-0 with just over two minutes remaining in the first against the Tigers on Friday. He received a pass right in front of the goal, firing in a quick one-timer.
Chorske gave Colgate a 2-1 advantage over the Bobcats with 13:10 left in the second on Saturday, skating in and beating the goalie five-hole.
The Edina, Minn., native is riding an eight-game point streak, tied for the second-longest active streak in the country. Chorske has posted seven goals and three assists in that span. He has scored in four straight games, tied for the third-longest active goal streak nationally.
Chorske garners his second Forward of the Week honor this season after earning the award Oct. 28.
Colgate is back on the road before Thanksgiving, heading to Penn State for a 6 p.m. game Tuesday and a 4:30 p.m. contest Wednesday.
