HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Nittany Lions got a quick start, scoring twice in the opening two minutes. Matt DiMarsico rocketed a shot top shelf 39 seconds in to put PSU up 1-0. A minute and four seconds later, Casey Aman found the back of the net to push Penn State's advantage to 2-0.
- Brett Chorske got one back for the Raiders with just over 15 minutes remaining in the first to make it 2-1. Max Nagel dumped a pass back to Antonio Fernandez, who ripped one toward goal that Chorske redirected into the net. The goal extended Chorske's point streak to 10 games.
- A five-minute major saw the Nittany Lions add two more from Dane Dowiak and Danny Dzhaniyev, putting the scoreboard at 5-1.
- Penn State then tacked on two more in the second period.
- The Raiders had a power play opportunity two minutes into the second and another man-up chance in the third that they could not convert.
UP NEXT
Colgate returns to league play next weekend, taking on local rival Cornell in a home-and-home series. The Raiders head to Ithaca, N.Y., Friday before hosting the No. 11 Big Red Saturday. Both contests begin at 7 p.m.
