Raiders Compete at Santa Clara Duals

LOS GATOS, Calif. — Colgate men's rowing took two boats cross-country to face Santa Clara at the Lexington Reservoir for the Santa Clara Duals.

LOS GATOS, Calif. — Colgate men's rowing took two boats cross-country to face Santa Clara at the Lexington Reservoir for the Santa Clara Duals.

"The team had a good trip to California to face an opponent we normally don't see during the regular season.  Both boats raced well but we were not able to get our bows ahead at the finish line.  We will learn from these races as we prepare for our upcoming races," said assistant coach Eric Summers

Colgate's varsity eight fell to Santa Clara, clocking in at 6:05.1, seven seconds behind the Broncos' time of 5:57.3. The crew beat out Santa Clara's 2V8 by a second and 3V8 by nine.

The Raiders' varsity four was also bested by Santa Clara's crew, crossing the finish three seconds after with a final time of 6:53.3.
