HAMILTON, N.Y. — Colgate scored three goals in the second half to take a 3-0 win over Army in its regular season finale Tuesday evening at Beyer-Small '76 Field. With the win, the Raiders clinched the No. 4 seed in the Patriot League Tournament and will host No. 5 Lehigh in the quarterfinals Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Timmy Donovan gave the Raiders a 1-0 advantage in the 50th minute. Jack Beerling played a short pass to Ethan Harris, who sent a cross into the box that Donovan headed home.
- Five minutes later, Blake Pipkin made it 2-0 Colgate. Dale Lepper hit a long overhead ball into the box from the Raiders' defensive end that Pipkin settled and slotted into the goal.
- In the 79th minute, Liam Winograd added the final goal after Wade Johnson had a shot saved, and the junior cleaned up the rebound.
- The Raiders had a few chances to add to their lead in the second half, including four other corners. Jacob Blackwin had back-to-back headers following a corner in the 71st minute, but he could not put one in.
- Cason Stafford had a look in the 66th minute when he ripped a shot that landed off target.
- In the first, Colgate had back-to-back shots following a free kick in the 14th minute after the ball dropped in the box. Stafford had his shot saved on the goal line by a Black Knight defender, and Julian Di Lucia tried to follow the rebound, but his attempt got stopped by the keeper.
- A minute later, Stafford took a shot in the box that was saved by the goalie.
- The Raiders' first chance came in the seventh minute when Pipkin got into the box and fired a shot wide.
GAME NOTES
- Pipkin's goal marked his team-best sixth of the season.
- Oliver Townend earned his fifth win and third shutout of the season.
- Colgate will be making its third consecutive trip to the Patriot League tournament.
