BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Raiders collected three weekly honors the conference announced on Monday afternoon. Senior Eric Widrick earned Goalkeeper of the Week, sophomore Julian Di Lucia garnered Defensive Player of the Week honors, and first year Ryan Schachter picked up Rookie of the Week.

Widrick picked up Goalkeeper of the Week honors after posting back-to-back clean sheets in the opening two matches of the season. Widrick made seven saves against Stonehill in the Raiders 3-0 win and collected his first career clean sheet before making another seven saves against New Hampshire on Sunday in a 0-0 draw. Colgate opened the season with two straight shutouts for the first time since 2016.

Di Lucia is the first Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week this season after leading the backline in front of Widrick to two shutouts. The Raiders defense allowed nine shots in the win over Stonehill and seven shots on goal in the draw against New Hampshire. Di Lucia logged a shot in the win over the Skyhawks to open the season.

Schachter collects Rookie of the Week honors after posting three points in his debut against Stonehill. The first year assisted the opening goal to fellow first year, Cole Ramey, before finding the back of the net on his own to give the Raiders a two-goal lead. Schachter started his first game on Sunday against New Hampshire and played just less than two-thirds of the match registering one shot on target.

Colgate will host Fordham on Saturday, Aug. 30 for its home opener. The kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Beyer-Small '76 Field.
