Colgate Clipped by Marist, 5-2
Box Score SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Senior captains Josh Israel and Ben Graham added the Raiders' only two points of the duel while sophomores Parker McGowan and Jerome Falcon added a victory in third doubles, but Colgate still fell to Marist, 5-2, on Saturday evening inside Drumlins Country Club.
Falcon and McGowan remained undefeated with their win on doubles court three, but the Raiders still ceded the first point of the match to the visitors when they fell on lines one and two.
By the time Graham collected his first win of the season in thrilling fashion on court four singles, Marist had already clinched the duel and voided the senior's 4-6, 7-6 (12-10), 10-8 victory.
Israel also moved to 2-0 in second singles on the season, winning 6-7 (4-7), 6-3, 6-3.
The Raiders return to the courts on Sunday for a matchup with state rival Binghamton at 3 p.m. in Drumlins Country Club.
