Taylor Golembiewski logged a team-high 20 points for her 11th consecutive double-digit performance dating back to Jan. 29.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sophia Diehl blocked a layup underneath that Taylor Golembiewski finished in transition to get the Raiders going early as they took an 8-7 lead to open the game.
- TG picked off an inbound after she netted a layup and finished through contact to get the old-fashioned 3-point play as the Raiders took a 13-9 lead.
- Bucknell responded with a five-point run to end the first quarter and took a 14-13 lead.
- The Bison opened the second quarter with an 11-0 run and forced a Raiders timeout.
- Anne Bair ended the Bison run and scored the next five points for Colgate before Golembiewski drove inside and finished to cut the deficit to single digits.
- Morgan McMahon drilled a 3-pointer to get the Raiders within four but Bucknell responded with a three of its own and held onto a 32-25 lead at the halftime break.
- Diehl hit a long two to get the Raiders within six halfway through the third frame.
- Golembiewski sparked an 8-0 run that was capped off by a Diehl triple and forced a Bucknell timeout.
- TG netted five more points to push the Raiders lead to 46-42 after three quarters of action.
- The Bison tied the game at 49 apiece with five minutes left in the contest.
- Golembiewski momentarily gave Colgate a one-point lead before Bucknell answered with a bucket and foul to take a 55-53 lead.
- McMahon hit two from the charity stripe to tie the game at 55 before the Bison hit a three on the other end of the floor with under a minute to go.
- The Raiders were able to manufacture one last shot before the buzzer but it did not fall and Colgate fell to Bucknell in the Patriot League Quarterfinals.
GAME NOTES
- Golembiewski led the team in scoring for a team-high 14th time this season.
- Maryan Eniafe provided a spark on the defensive side of the ball forcing one turnover and grabbing three boards in just four minutes of action.
- Bair logged double figures for the 24th time this season, tied only with Golembiewski for most double-digit scoring games.
- The Raiders moved to 6-4 in March in the last two seasons.
