DANBURY, Conn. – Senior goalie Hannah Murphy was named the ECAC's MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week and first-year Alexia Aubin picked up Bitcoin Rookie of the Week honors after leading No. 5 Colgate to a sweep of No. 13/14 Princeton in the ECAC Hockey playoff quarterfinals last weekend.
Murphy, an HCA Goalie of the Year Semifinalist and second team All-ECAC netminder, made 68 saves across two games including her fifth 40+ save game of the season in a 2-1 win on Saturday. She also saved .953 percent of all shots faced on the weekend while picking up her 72nd career win, three away from tying the program record.
Aubin earned her first weekly award after breaking through with the game's opening score on Saturday. The snipe served as her sixth goal of the season and 23rd point of her rookie campaign.
The duo is back in action as Colgate faces No. 7 St. Lawrence in the ECAC Hockey Semifinals on Friday night on the campus of Cornell University. Game time is to be announced.
