Murphy Named Goalie of the Week
DANBURY, Conn. – Senior goalie Hannah Murphy was named the ECAC's MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week after helping Colgate shutout Yale, 3-0, and defeat Brown, 3-1, this past weekend.
In Murphy's third shutout of the season and program-record 18th of her career, she stopped all 28 shots faced against the Bulldogs.
The Bradford, Ontario, native book ended the weekend with a 22-save showing against the Bears where she earned her 23rd win of the season, the third-most in the NCAA.
Murphy also ranks in a tie for the sixth-best save percentage in the nation (.941), fourth in total saves (828), and top-15 in the country with a 1.79 goals-against average.
She will look to lead the Raiders in the playoffs where they return from the bye next Friday, March 28, to kick off a three-game series in the ECAC Hockey Semifinals at the Class of 1965 Arena.
