HAMILTON Fifth-year Kristýna Kaltounková added a pair of goals and assists, junior Elyssa Biederman notched her 13th multi-point outing of the season, and sophomore Jaimee Spring logged her second-ever multi-point performance as the No. 5 Raiders raced by No. 13 Princeton, 4-0, on Saturday evening inside the Class of 1965 Arena.

Senior Hannah Murphy contributed her 17th career shutout in the victory, the most in program history, as she earned her 64th career win. She inches closer to the program record of 75 triumphs set by Julia Vandyk '19.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • There were zeroes on the scoreboard after 20 minutes with Colgate leading shots on goal 10-8 and failing to capitalize on a mid-period power play opportunity.
  • The Raiders took the reins of a highlight-filled second period, scoring three goals starting with a deflection from Alexis Petford on a Kaltounková shot that took a high-arcing bounce off the boards behind the net.
  • Kaltounková did her best to earn a Sportscenter Top-10 shout-out just 20 seconds later, going between the legs to beat the Tiger netminder from point blank range and double Colgate's advantage.
  • At the six-minute mark of the second stanza, Biederman lit the lamp after executing a near-perfect two-on-two break alongside a streaking Kaltounková.
  • Kaltounková finished off the Tigers three minutes into the third period by cleaning up a rebounded Biederman shot to assert a four-goal advantage.

GAME NOTES

  • Kaltounková scored her 24th goal of the season in the win, tied for the most by any skater in NCAA Division I so far this year.
  • The Raiders picked up their seventh win against ranked foes this season, the most by any ECAC school.
