Women’s Rowing Sends Six Boats to Head of Fish

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Colgate women's rowing sent six boats to compete against teams from across the country for the annual Head of the Fish in Saratoga Springs over the weekend.

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Colgate women's rowing sent six boats to compete against teams from across the country for the annual Head of the Fish in Saratoga Springs over the weekend. 

Colgate's Varsity Eight was the first in the water, placing sixth of 15 teams with an elapsed time of 12:03.19, edging Rhode Island's crew by two-tenth of a second. The 2v8 also claimed a fifth-place finish out of 20 boats, turning in a time of 12:29.68. 

The Varsity Four captured another top-10 finish, placing 10th of 37 boats with a time of 13:57.81. Colgate's Frosh/Novice Eight came away with the best finish of the day, placing third out of 21 boats with an impressive time of 12:15.92, edging Smith College's boat by nearly a full second.
