Nardone Nabs Patriot League Player of the Week
BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Fifth-year utility Adrienne Nardone was named Patriot League Player of the Week after hitting .529 with six RBIs and four runs scored as Colgate went 4-1 this past week. The Raiders' RBI leader paved the way for a 4-1 week with two wins over league-foe Holy Cross and a doubleheader sweep against in-state opponent Le Moyne.
Nardone ended the two-game series against the Dolphins with a monster 4-for-4 outing where she knocked in three runs and also hit two doubles, also setting a new career high with four hits in a game.
A 1-for-2 outing in an 11-0 win against Holy Cross saw Nardone plate three more runs with her ninth double of the season, a mark that ranks seventh across all Patriot League hitters. Nardone's 10 multi-RBI games also lead the Raiders.
In the final two games of the series against the Crusaders, Nardone added two multi-hit games. She now sits at 11 on the season, the third-most on the squad.
Nardone will look to continue her four-game hit streak on Wednesday for a road doubleheader with Binghamton. First pitch against the Bearcats is slated for 4 p.m.
