Description

We invite you to join us on Wednesdays for a quick and convenient way to "recoup" mid-day. We’ll start by clearing our minds with a 20-minute meditation, and then recharge our bodies with some vegan soup!

Sound Healing Meditation: The Art of Relaxing

A healing, relaxing, and meditative session facilitated through the use of Tibetan chimes and singing bowls. This is an opportunity to experience deep relaxation, and to connect with yourself on a deeper level.Here's what to expect: 1. Lie down on a comfortable meditation mat (or sit comfortably in one of the chairs.) 2. Close your eyes in a darkened Meditation Hall. 3. Listen for the soothing sounds of Tibetan singing bowls, and ocean drum and rain stick. 4. Feel the heal!

Nicki Duval: Sporting

Nicki Duval (they/them) is a multidisciplinary artist primarily working in performance, sound, and video. Recent work includes their MFA thesis project, Throwing (2023, University of California, Santa Cruz), a durational performance and paper reflecting on the changing temporality of baseball through a queer lens. They are currently collaborating with artist Robbie Trocchia on a series of performances involving athletes, including bout (2023, Locust Projects / Untitled Art Fair, Miami, with boxers Jhon Matos, Erny Matos, and Nick Plessett) and Peak (2024, The Lab, San Francisco, with weightlifter Sebastian Rios-Sialer). They are currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Film and Media Studies at Colgate.
