Justice Through Climate Resilience
Saturday, February 1, 2025 1:00–1:50 PM
Description
Through this discussion, we invite community members into the conversation of climate injustice (that marginalized communities are more impacted by climate change globally), discuss what climate impacts we are facing at Colgate, and encourage conversations regarding current and future climate impacts on vulnerable populations and potential community-oriented solutions. This session will look at current emission mitigation practices at our campus as a form of climate justice while having a broader discussion on how we can continue to mitigate impacts and increase our scope. Participants will be able to better understand current practices and help shape future practices of the university.Presenters: DaQuan Hurt '26, Harshitha Talasila '26, Julia Sparks
