This presentation will provide helpful information on how to spot fact from fiction when scrolling through social media.Presenters: Dan DeVries is Vice President of University Communications at Colgate University and Stephanie DeVries is the communications specialist for Colgate's Centers and Institutes. Both Dan and Stephanie are former daily newspaper reporters from the Capital Region and both have also worked in market research at the former Zogby International in Utica.

At a time when the Florida panther was teetering on the brink of extinction, a small team of biologists, conservationists, and trackers employed extraordinary — and sometimes risky — measures to save this iconic species. Through personal stories, field experiences, and reflections on the people he met along the way, John will provide a firsthand account of the setbacks, the triumphs, and the innovative efforts that helped pull the panther back from the edge of extinction.
