CLTR Teaching Table: AI in the Classroom
Academics | Bernstein Hall, 215/217
The CLTR is facilitating two sessions to assist faculty in exploring ideas and questions about AI in the classroom:How Are Students Using AI? (10-11 a.m.)This session will provide participants with the opportunity to share experiences and perspectives about the ways they have observed Colgate students using AI for academic purposes, both in ways that raise concern and in ways that support learning. Developing Guidelines of One’s Own (1-2 p.m.)Colgate’s baseline AI policy serves as a default policy prohibiting academic use of AI except in cases explicitly permitted by the instructor. This session will provide an opportunity to consider how individual, departmental, and disciplinary perspectives might inform AI guidelines aligned with context-specific teaching goals and values. Please register here for session(s) you are planning on attending.
