COACH HARDER'S COMMENTS
"It was a complete team win for us tonight. We were disciplined throughout and made sacrifices for each other."

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Daniel Panetta gave the Raiders a 3-2 advantage with just under three minutes left in the second. Nic Belpedio passed to Brett Merner who played a bouncing puck toward the goal that got deflected by the goalie out to Panetta and he finished it home.
  • First-year Ryan Spinale added an insurance goal with five minutes remaining in the third after he tipped in a centering pass from Ben Raymond. Michael Neumeier picked up the secondary assist.
  • Harvard had tied the game at 2-2 with a tally from Marek Hejduk at the 11:03 mark of the second.
  • Simon Labelle netted his first goal of the season to put the Raiders up 2-1 eight and a half minutes into the middle frame. Panetta passed to Fernandez, who ripped a shot that got saved, but Labelle finished the rebound.
  • The Crimson knotted the game at 1-1 with four and a half minutes remaining in the first when Mason Langenbrunner ripped one into the goal from just past the blueline.
  • Brett Chorske put the Raiders ahead 1-0 with seven and a half minutes left in the first. Nic Belpedio passed to Alex DiPaolo along the boards, and he hit it to Chorske. The senior skated through the neutral zone and down the ice before flicking a shot that the goalie got a piece of, but it trickled into the goal.
  • Andrew Takacs stopped 12 shots in the third period to seal the deal.
  • The Raiders had their only power play with just over three minutes left in the first but could not capitalize.
