Neuharth Lifts Colgate Over St. Lawrence, 5-4
HAMILTON — Owen Neuharth guided in the winning goal with less than one second left on the clock to help the Raiders claw all three points in a dramatic 5-4 win over St. Lawrence on Friday evening.
St. Lawrence tied the game at four apiece halfway through the third period with a wrap around goal. With 10 ticks left on the clock Robby Newton picked up a loose puck in the neutral zone and skated the length of the ice. Newton fired it across the goalmouth into the path of Owen Neuharth, who ushered the puck into the back of the net with 0.8 seconds left on the clock.
COACH HARDER'S COMMENTS

OWEN NEUHARTH'S COMMENTS

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Saints picked up a loose puck in the neutral zone and fired on net but Andrew Takacs flashed his glove to keep the game scoreless early in the first.
- St. Lawrence capitalized on a power play taking a 1-0 lead with five minutes left in the first.
- The visitors doubled their lead just over a minute later with a tipped shot from the point.
- Colgate responded immediately with two goals within 30 seconds of each other.
- Ryan Sullivan got the Raiders on the board off a feed from Simon Labelle. Sullivan fired it underneath the Saints goaltender from a few feet away.
- Reid Irwin tied the game at two with a shot from the left dot. Irwin ripped a shot with traffic in front to get the Raiders back on level terms.
- St. Lawrence answered again with a goal 20 seconds later and took a 3-2 lead into the first intermission.
- The Raiders tied the game halfway through the second. Colgate pinned St. Lawrence in his own zone to open up the ice for Antonio Fernandez to fire a shot from the right face-off dot underneath the Saints goaltender's glove on the short side.
- Both teams manufactured chances in the latter stages of the second frame but neither side was able to break the deadlock and the game headed to the third all square at three.
- Reid Irwin flicked the puck on net from the slot and it trickled along the goal line before Jack Brandt bludgeoned it in to give the Raiders a 4-3 lead with two minutes into the final frame.
- St. Lawrence tied it back up at four with a wrap around with 10 minutes left in the game.
