Herzig Leads Golf at Testudo Cup
IJAMSVILLE, Md. – Colgate Golf's third straight weekend in Maryland saw Robbie Herzig tie for 24th with a 5-over-par 221 three-day score to lead six golfers representing the Raiders throughout the weekend in the Testudo Cup at the Club at P.B. Dye.
Herzig's 1-under 71 in the second round tied the best single-round score of the tournament for the Raiders, who finished 13th of 14 teams at 35-over (899). The senior finished tied for 24th among 78 golfers competing in the weekend tournament hosted by Maryland.
COACH KIRCHER'S COMMENTS
"P.B. Dye was a really good test. We learned that we need to make a better game plan and commit to our strategy. We had some good stretches, and it was nice to see Leo Li and Robbie Herzig shoot under-par rounds on the weekend. Justin Fedele is playing solid golf and is very close to getting some more scores under par. We have a few days before going to Columbus and just need to clean up a few mistakes we didn't make in Ocean City."
HOW IT HAPPENED
