LEWISBURG, Pa. – MG King took silver in the 200 Back to headline Colgate's strong finish to the Patriot League championship on Saturday afternoon inside Bucknell's Kinney Natatorium. 

King's second-place finish was one of four top-10 tallies for the Raiders on the final day of competition. Colgate placed eighth in the standings with 505.5 points. 

The performance from the weekend landed Ed Pretre his first Patriot League Coach of the Year honor. Pretre becomes Colgate's first coach to earn the top honor since 2011.

"Incredible week for the team. We definitely had a great time this week. Amazing chemistry on deck and to see where our program has gone over the last few years has just been really remarkable. The place in our standings doesn't necessarily dictate how well we are doing, and we know we are closing the gap with the points to move up the standings. Very proud of our student-athletes at Colgate and we look forward to more success and in the years to come." 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• King ignited the special night with their second-place finish in the 200 Back, clocking in with a time of 1:58.44 to take silver. 
• King also contributed to the 400 Free Relay team, along with Elizabeth Rainey, Brooke Garretson, and Lucy Art, that captured fifth place with a time of 3:24.19. 
• Collins continued her strong finish to the weekend with a seventh-place finish in the 200 Fly, touching the wall in 2:02.58 – a quarter of a second behind sixth. 
• Art won the B Final of the 100 Free with a fast time of 50.53 – the third fastest time in the field – to place ninth overall. Rainey and Garretson finished 15th and 17th, respectively, in the same event with times of 51.78 and 51.55.
