Colgate Drops Series Finale in Bethlehem
Box Score BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Niamh Dougherty's first-career home run and a two-for-three day at the plate for Quinn Livesay were not enough to push the Raiders past the Mountain Hawks on Monday afternoon. With the 9-2 loss, the Raiders dropped to 0-3 in conference play.
Dougherty logged Colgate's first hit of the game in the third frame with her first career home run to knot the score at one.
The deadlock did not last for long, however, with Lehigh jumping out to a 5-1 lead after a four-run frame in the home half of the third.
After Kiley Shelton and Kara Fusco contributed singles in the sixth, Livesay picked up an RBI and her second hit of the day with a single to right field.
The Raiders could not cut into the deficit any further, and the Mountain Hawks used five hits and a Colgate error to tack on four runs in the bottom of the sixth to put the game out of reach.
