HAMILTON – Robbie Herzig's historic performance last weekend has earned him Patriot League Golfer of the Week, announced Wednesday by the league office. 

Herzig won last weekend's Duel at Bartlett with an 8-under 132 two-day score. In the final round on Sunday, Herzig fired the best single round in program history – a 7-under 63. He bested second-place teammate Kevin Hollomon by seven strokes to secure the victory. 

The highlight of Herzig's final round came on the par-4 fourth hole, when he drove the green and buried a 30-foot putt for eagle. That contributed to a 29 scorecard on the front nine. 

Herzig's 63 served as Colgate's best single round overall and in relation to par (-7). He paced the Raiders to a win over the Bonnies with a 560 team score, matching the best finish in relation to par (E) in program history. 

The New York City native defended his title at the Duel at Bartlett after tying for first two years ago. This also marks the second straight year Herzig capped off the regular season with a first-place finish, as he earned co-medalist honors at last year's Upstate Battle.
