Raiders Pick Up First Patriot League Win
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Sophia Diehl posted her second double-double of the season as the Raiders picked up their first Patriot League win of the season with a 70-66 win over Lehigh at Stabler Arena.
After Lehigh cut the Raiders lead to just four points with under thirty seconds left in the game, Anne Bair went to the line and hit both free throws.
On the ensuing Lehigh possession, Christina Midgette forced the Mountain Hawks to the middle of the lane where Bair dislodged the ball into Taylor Golembiewski's hands. Colgate called a timeout before the Mountain Hawks sent Bair back to the line as she hit both from the charity stripe pushing the advantage to 68-60.
Lehigh hit a 3-pointer and a bucket plus a foul making the game just one possession for the Mountain Hawks but Bair hit her the final of her six free throws in the final minute giving the Raiders a 70-66 win.
COACH ADEDUNTAN'S COMMENTS
"Honestly this is the team we have become accustomed to. We haven't shown who we are, how we move the ball, how we play. We have been trying to clean that up in practices but I commend my team. Super proud of each player, they were ready to go today. They have been ready to go in the last two days in practices with their response in what we needed to focus on and how we needed to play.
It started with defense for us to start this game. Obviously we are playing against a really good team in Lehigh. They weren't going to just succumb, they increased the intensity and the pressure and we found enough possessions to be able to weather the storm."

- Golembiewski scored six of the nine points on the run with Madison Schiller draining her second triple of the game in the Raiders surge.
- The Mountain Hawks responded with an 8-2 run to cut the Colgate lead to 16 before Schiller grabbed an offensive rebound and put back the layup to give the Raiders the 51-33 lead.
- Lehigh finished the third frame on a 9-3 run but Colgate still held a 54-42 lead heading into the final quarter.
