HOW IT HAPPENED
- Cornell jumped out to an early lead, scoring twice in the opening eight minutes. The Raiders quickly responded with a goal by Gracie DeSimone with 10:57 left to play in the period. The Big Red finished the period with three unanswered goals before Colgate closed the frame within 5-2.
- Early into second period action, Cornell stretched its lead to 6-2 but Colgate quickly responded with two goals by Panzirer to trim the deficit to two. The Big Red took control from there, scoring three consecutive goals in the last minute to end the half ahead 9-4.
- The goals continued to come in threes for Cornell, as the home team slowly continued to add onto its advantage. Panzierer scored her third of the matchup with a minute left to play in the third quarter.
- Aubrey McMahon tacked on a goal for the Raiders in the fourth before Cornell added on three more goals to win, 15-6.
GAME NOTES
- Panzierer added onto her team lead in points with four in the matchup, bringing her total on the season to 20.
- Lauren Solis had 11 saves, giving her 28 on the season.
- Cornell outshot the Raiders 32-18.
- Colgate caused six turnovers in the game, one more than the Big Red.
