Cross Country Competes at Penn State Invitational
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Raiders cross country teams competed at the Penn State Spiked Shoe Invitational on Friday at the Penn State Cross Country Course.
The women's team took ninth place out of 10 and the men's side placed eighth out of nine.
COACH FRANCE'S COMMENTS
"Today's race was a real test of mental toughness and patience. Lining up against a strong field this early in the season forced us to stay composed, trust ourselves, and battle through the challenging moments. A valuable step forward with plenty to build on. Incredibly proud of our student-athletes and excited for the journey ahead."
WOMEN
Juliet Drury was Colgate's top finisher on the women's team with a time of 21:56.8. Annie Reilly came in shortly behind her with a time of 22:38.6.
First year Ameya Eddy placed 58th with a time of 22:47.6 while Lucy Pew came in behind her at 22:53.9.
Hailey Bradley rounded out the top five finishers for the Raiders with a time of 22:56.6.
MEN
John Griffith was the first Raider to cross the finish line with a time of 26:13.2, teammate Liam Davis finished just behind him at 26:17.3.
Owen McMorrow cracked the top 50 with a time of 26:19.9 with Will Keiser finishing after him at 26:49.9.
Dakin Ebmeyer closed out the Colgate top five with a time of 26:59.1.

Colgate returns to action next Saturday for the Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational in Rochester, N.Y. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
