For the first time in his career, Kyle Carlesimo, a rising senior on Colgate's men's basketball team, was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — For the first time in his career, Kyle Carlesimo, a rising senior on Colgate's men's basketball team, was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court.

To qualify for the award, the NABC Honors Court recognizes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2024-25 academic year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.

Off the court, Carlesimo is currently majoring in Sociology. On the court during the 2024-25 season, he appeared in all 33 games and made one start. The guard posted a season-high 12 points in a win over Boston University (1/11) and matched his best in a loss to American (1/25). Known for his shooting, Carlesimo netted 36 three-pointers with a shooting percentage of .371. Around the court, the 6'2" guard collected 40 rebounds, recorded 17 assists, and logged seven steals.

"Education is one of the NABC's five core values, and we are proud to recognize the academic accomplishments of these programs and individual student-athletes across our sport," said NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson. "The dedication and hard work of these athletes, along with their coaches and support staff members who prioritize academic success, deserves to be widely celebrated."

This marks the fifth consecutive year that at least one Colgate men's basketball player has been a recipient of this award. Within the program, there have been 16 honorees, including seven players who have received this award multiple times.
