Stearney Attends Naval Academy Leadership Conference
Annapolis, Md. — Colgate first-year quarterback Jake Stearney was one of four student-athletes selected to attend the annual two-day Naval Academy Leadership Conference in Annapolis, Maryland, this week.
The conference hosts over 400 high-character individuals from 45 different military and civilian universities who are deeply interested in growing as a leader.
In Annapolis, Stearney was able to attend guest lectures from feature speakers, panels discussing leadership lessons, and generate unique insight with small group interaction with some of the best and brightest minds in the country.
"This leadership conference has deepened my knowledge of leadership by learning from the best to ever do it," Stearney said. "It will allow me to implement new aspects of leadership into my life as well as my coaches and teammates."
