Saunders Named FCS Preseason All-American

Colgate Football senior wide receiver Treyvhon Saunders, a two-time All-Patriot League First Team selection,  earned Preseason All-American Third Team laurels by Stats FCS on Tuesday morning.

Saunders' record-breaking junior campaign saw him set the program's single-season receptions mark, finishing second in the FCS and fifth in all of college football with 88 receptions. Averaging 7.3 grabs per contest, which also were a school record, Saunders totaled 831 receiving yards with two touchdowns. 

In his three seasons starring for the maroon and white, Saunders has racked up 180 receptions totaling 1,975 receiving yards, nine touchdowns; 17 rushes totaling 96 yards; five kickoff returns totaling 37 yards, and three punt returns for 26 yards. He is a two-time All-League First Team and All-ECAC honoree. 

An economics major from Columbus, Ohio, Saunders enters his senior season 41 receptions away from Luke Graham's '05 program record of 221 career grabs. Graham, a three-time All-Patriot League honoree who holds multiple program records, starred on the 2003 team that reached the FCS National Championship.

The Raiders open the 2025 season and the Fitzpatrick era with Friday night lights, hosting Monmouth Aug. 29. Kickoff from Andy Kerr Stadium is 7 p.m.
