URBANA, Md. – First-year Jayden Freedman and senior Robbie Herzig landed top-10 finishes to lead Colgate's A team to fourth place on the team leaderboard in the two-day Carpetbagger Classic hosted by Binghamton at the Worthington Manor Golf Club.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Freedman fired a 1-under 71 on Sunday to finish with a two-day total of 146 (+2) and tie for fifth. He led all nine Colgate golfers in the 16-team field among 92 participants competing in this weekend's 36-hole, par-72 tournament.
- Herzig picked up right where he left off, continuing his strong campaign with another top-10 finish. He turned in a two-day score of 147 (+5) to place tied for seventh.
- Leo Li paced Colgate with a first-round 72, and he carded a 77 on Sunday to finish in a tie for 17th place at 149 (+5). Chad Ruggiero tied for 22nd with back-to-back rounds of 75 for a two-day total of 150 (+6), while Alex Hill and Justin Fedele tied for 45th (+10).
