HOW IT HAPPENED
- Brett Chorske gave the Raiders a 1-0 advantage with 13:04 left in the first period. Tommy Bergsland hit the puck to Max Nagel, who skated in and played a pass across to Chorske for a one-timer he ripped from the left faceoff circle.
- Ryan Spinale doubled Colgate's lead on a power play with 6:52 remaining in the second. Michael Neumeier played the puck back to Bergsland at the blue line, who passed it to Spinale. The first-year skated in and flicked a wrister into the left side of the goal.
- The Big Red got one back with 46 seconds left in the second when Jack O'Leary scored.
- Cornell tied the game at 2-2 at the 10:40 mark of the third with a power play tally from Ryan Walsh.
- The Big Red won it just under three minutes into the extra period when Charlie Major found the back of the net.
- Nagel had a chance to pull the Raiders back ahead with just over four minutes left in the third when he got free on a breakaway, but his shot got saved.
- The Raiders also had a power play opportunity two minutes into the third that it could not convert.
- Colgate picked up a penalty kill in the second and one in the first and third periods.
- The opening period saw minimal chances for both sides, with Cornell outshooting the Raiders 5-4.
- Colgate kept the Big Red off the scoreboard in the first thanks to five saves from Andrew Takacs.
GAME NOTES
- Chorske's goal extended his point streak to 11 games. It is the second-longest active point streak in the country. He has also scored in six of the previous seven contests and in back-to-back games.
- Takacs made 28 saves in goal.
- The Raiders and Big Red went to overtime for the 25th time in the series history.
