HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Nittany Lions got a quick start, scoring twice in the opening two minutes. Matt DiMarsico rocketed a shot top shelf 39 seconds in to put PSU up 1-0. A minute and four seconds later, Casey Aman found the back of the net to push Penn State's advantage to 2-0.
  • Brett Chorske got one back for the Raiders with just over 15 minutes remaining in the first to make it 2-1. Max Nagel dumped a pass back to Antonio Fernandez, who ripped one toward goal that Chorske redirected into the net. The goal extended Chorske's point streak to 10 games.
  • A five-minute major saw the Nittany Lions add two more from Dane Dowiak and Danny Dzhaniyev, putting the scoreboard at 5-1.
  • Penn State then tacked on two more in the second period.
  • The Raiders had a power play opportunity two minutes into the second and another man-up chance in the third that they could not convert.
