Three Raiders Earn AHCA All-American Scholar Honors

HAMILTON - Three Raiders were selected as 2024-25 AHCA/Krampade Division I All-American Scholars, the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) announced on Wednesday.

Sophomore Avery Pickering earned a spot on the women's side while Andrew Takacs and Jake Schneider were selected on the men's side.

To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester, and had to appear in
40% of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goaltenders.

Pickering is heading into her junior year after recording 3 goals and 17 assists for the maroon and white in 39 games last season. Pickering earned a spot on last year's AHCA/Krampade Division I All-American Scholars Team as well.

Rising senior Takacs played 32 games for the Raiders last season in between the pipes and finished with a .903 save percentage and 19 wins.

Schneider will be entering his third year in Hamilton after playing 36 games for Colgate last season. The rising junior scored four goals and added 11 assists during his sophomore campaign and buried the game winner against Brown.
