Bergsland Named ECAC Defender of the Week

Bergsland posted two goals and an assist this past weekend in the Raiders' tie against Union and win over RPI. He also went +3 and blocked eight shots.
The senior found the back of the net twice in the 4-0 defeat of the Engineers Saturday. Bergsland fired in a shot from the blueline 7:40 into the second period to give Colgate a 2-0 lead. Just under two minutes later, he finished one off a rebound on a power play to make it 3-0.
Bergsland recorded his sixth multipoint game and first multi-goal performance of the season. He made defensive contributions with four blocked shots, three of which came in the third period.
On Friday, the blueliner dished out an assist on the Raiders' second goal in the 2-2 tie against the Garnet Chargers. He also blocked four shots in the game.
