Yates, Drouin Named All-American Honorable Mention

HAMILTON — Max Yates and Hunter Drouin were named All-American Honorable Mention by USA Lacrosse Thursday.

HAMILTON — Max Yates and Hunter Drouin have been named All-American Honorable Mention by USA Lacrosse, Inside Lacrosse, and the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association. 
 
Drouin and Yates earned the accolades after both were named to the First Team All-Patriot League on April 29, and it's their first time earning All-American honors.
 
Yates recorded a career-high 31 caused turnovers and 84 ground balls. He ranked second in the Patriot League and tied for seventh nationally in caused turnovers per game (2.07). Additionally, he finished fourth in the conference in ground balls and was fifth in ground balls per contest (5.60).
 
The junior logged a caused turnover in all but two games, including 10 contests with multiple CTs. He scooped up a career-high nine ground balls in the win over Loyola and broke his career-best with five caused turnovers in a victory at Bucknell.
 
Drouin posted a career-best 52 points behind 38 goals and 14 assists. He finished seventh in the Patriot League in points and tied for seventh in goals. Drouin's 3.47 points per game ranked eighth-best in the league.
 
The sophomore recorded 12 multi-point games, including four with five or more. Additionally, he scored in every game and had seven contests with three or more goals. Drouin posted six points in the Raiders' win over No. 5 Army. He also registered a career-high seven points against Boston University in the Patriot League quarterfinals.
