Stafford and Pipkin Claim Preseason Honors
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Colgate men's soccer's Cason Stafford and Blake Pipkin each earned a spot on the 2025 Preseason All-Patriot League Team, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Stafford grabbed Third Team All-Patriot League honors last season after scoring two goals and adding three assists for the Raiders in 2024. The senior scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Holy Cross and finished second on the team with seven points.
Pipkin earned a spot off the back of a standout first year. The winger scored seven goals and added three assists for a team-high 17 points. Pipkin was selected as Patriot League Rookie of the Year and Second Team All-Patriot League. The sophomore scored the game winner in the Patriot League Quarterfinal against Lehigh with a free kick into the top corner.
The Raiders were voted to finish fifth in the Patriot League after falling to Bucknell in the Patriot League Championship in 2024.
Colgate opens their 2025 account on the road against Stonehill on Thursday, Aug. 21. The Raiders' first home contest will be on Saturday, Aug. 30 against Fordham at 4 p.m.
