Widrick Secures Second Straight Goalkeeper of the Week
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Eric Widrick picked up Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week honors for the second consecutive week, the conference announced on Monday.
Widrick made a season-high eight saves and helped the Raiders earn a 2-1 win over Fordham on Saturday. The senior has started the season on fire, allowing just one goal in the opening three games and helped Colgate open the season undefeated through the first three games for the first time since 2022.
Aidan Wright, Liam Winograd, and Cole Ramey each earned honorable mentions for their performances against Fordham. Ramey opened up the scoring in the first half before Wright doubled the Raiders lead. Winograd put in a full 90 minute shift at centerback and helped Colgate earn a hard fought 2-1 victory after playing with 10-men for over 50 minutes of the match.
The Raiders will host Binghamton on Thursday at Beyer-Small '76 Field at 7 p.m. before taking a trip to UConn on Sunday.
