Winograd Lands on PL Academic All-League Team
BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Liam Winograd was named to the Patriot League Men's Soccer Academic All-League Team Monday.
The Economics major has grabbed a spot on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in his first two seasons as a Raider (2022, 2023). Winograd earns his second postseason honor from the conference after being named Third Team All-Patriot League in 2023.
Winograd has appeared in 16 games this season, starting all of them and logging 1408 minutes, fourth most on the team. He has played the full 90 minutes or more in 14 contests.
The defender helped Colgate record three clean sheets during the regular season, including one at No. 13 Virginia and two in Patriot League play against Holy Cross and Army.
Winograd scored his first career goal in the Raiders' 3-1 win against Stonehill. The junior also found the back of the net in the 3-0 victory over Army.
Colgate heads to Boston University for a Patriot League semifinal battle Tuesday at 7 p.m.
