HOW IT HAPPENED
- Madison Schiller picked up the first basket of the game inside the lane before Army and Colgate traded blows during the opening five minutes.
- Taylor Golembiewski hit a mid-range jumper before Morgan McMahon found Ella Meabon underneath the basket to give the Raiders a 10-9 lead late in the first quarter.
- Army picked up four unanswered at the end of the first frame to take a 13-10 lead after one.
- Meabon drained a jumper to start the second quarter but the Black Knights scored five straight to take a 18-12 lead.
- Golembiewski picked the pocket of an Army player and scored quickly to cut into the deficit but the Raiders still trailed 20-16 halfway through the second quarter.
- Madison Schiller hit back-to-back triples to tie the game at 24 with under a minute left in the first half.
- Anne Bair went underneath and put in a tough bucket at the halftime buzzer to cut the deficit to 26-27.
- Sophia Diehl hit a long two early in the second half to give the Raiders a 30-27 lead before Army tied it back up at 30 moments later.
- Army used a seven-point surge to take a 39-34 lead.
- The Raiders responded with a 7-1 run including an old-fashioned three-point play from Anne Bair in transition.
- Morgan McMahon scored six straight for Colgate to give the Raiders a 47-43 lead.
- Golembiewski nailed a mid-range jumper at the third quarter buzzer to keep the Raider ahead 49-46 heading into the final quarter.
- The Black Knights scored five straight points to begin the fourth quarter and took a 51-49 lead.
- Colgate and Army continued to go back and forth and the Black Knights took a 56-53 lead with under six minutes left in the game.
- Bair hit one of two free throws to get the Raiders with two, but that is the closest Colgate got as they fell 65-60 to Army.
