BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Colgate's mens and womens cross country teams competed in the Paul Short Invitational on Saturday in Bethlehem, Pa. 

The men's team finished 3rd out of 38 teams and the women's squad finished 19th out of 35 teams.

COACH FRANCE'S COMMENTS

"Another huge step for this team on a big stage. To see how this team has progressed over the last couple years is truly incredible. I think there's always areas we can continue to improve upon but I know this team will be ready when it matters. We're young, gritty, and focused. We're gaining the experience we need every competition and are excited for what's to come in the championship segment to our season."

WOMEN

Nell Droege was the first Raider to cross the finish line in the Brown Race 6k. Droege posted a 22:15.8 time in the event.

Lucy Pew finished with a 22:41.0 while Annie Reilly completed the 6k in 23:08.3.

Ava Kletti placed in the 6k with a time of 23:39.0 while Kara Shepard crossed the finish line right behind her at 23:40.0.

MEN

Owen Holland finished seventh in the Brown Race 8k. Holland crossed the finish line at 24:53.1. 

John Griffith finished close behind his teammate in 21st with a time of 25:15.5. Owen McMorrow completed the 8k with a time of 25:24.0. 

Andrew McGraw crossed the finish line in 30th posting a 25:28.2. Dakin Ebmeyer finished 50th, rounding out the Colgate top five with a time of 25:49.5.

The men finished 3rd out of 38 teams in the Brown Race 8k.
